SCMO2 was a top presenter at the SAPInsider Logistics & SCM Conference on 6-8 March in Orlando, Florida. Attendees rotated through several sessions during the day and were highly engaged with the SAP IBP hands-on exercises and direction that were provided, emphasizing just how well received this new SAP tool has become. The new functionality is resonating with customers’ needs and they are recognizing the transforming benefits that switching to this platform would deliver.

Throughout the week, three key themes emerged from detailed discussions and conversations with the consultants and planners who attended these sessions.

• Companies are increasingly more educated about IBP and its benefits, and the adoption rate is starting to climb.
• APO is still a popular product, and finding new ways to unlock value from that platform can validate deferring an IBP implementation.
• SAP’s shift to a cloud-based platform makes it imperative for companies to have a trusted partner that can strategically advise them on how to best implement a transition in their own operation.
• We hope to see you in Orlando.

Two SCMO2 clients have significantly ramped up supply chain optimization efforts since the conference, one of which is indeed moving forward with an IBP implementation. The other has chosen the APO value extension strategy by adding the SCMO2 StatPack™ solution along with other custom enhancements. SCMO2 has also increased the number of strategic assessments for clients who are preparing to move forward with their cloud-based transitions.

SCMO2 will continue to address and expand on these three themes at the upcoming ASUG Sapphire, SAPInsider and Best Practice conferences.
